The Racial Contract is a book by Charles W. Mills in which Mills puts forth his political philosophy regarding the role of race in the social contract. In essence, Mills argues that the social contract is designed at its heart to promote whites over other races.[1]

Reception

The Racial Contract was widely reviewed in philosophy journals at the time of its publication.[2] The book was considered an important entry in the dialogue on race. The book was awarded the Myers Outstanding Book Award.[2]
